Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ansatsuken Ryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryu lands a high kick!
Ryu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tanner.
Tanner throws out a leg kick but Ryu moves out of range and Tanner only half commits.
Ryu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tanner misses with a low kick.
Tanner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ryu finds it's way round the side to connect with Tanner's head.
Tanner shoots in for a double leg but Ryu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ryu. That's going to slow Tanner down.
Tanner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ryu. That did some damage!
Ryu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Tanner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ryu quickly recovers to half guard.

Tanner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ryu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tanner is keen to just control but Ryu is a slippery customer.

Ryu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tanner controls the pace.

Ryu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tanner to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tanner shrugs it off.

Ryu has control of Tanner's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Tanner regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ryu goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tanner turns into him and now he's in Ryu's guard.

Ryu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
