Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Convex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hitman. Convex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jester kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rich Convex is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jenkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jenkins working the ground and pound but Convex is defending the strikes.
Convex parries the strikes from Jenkins easily there. Jenkins is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Convex to escape.

Jenkins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Convex is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jenkins is trying to ground and pound but Convex uses the momentary lack of control by Jenkins to regain half guard.

Jenkins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Convex doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jenkins.

Convex looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Jenkins stalling away here and it's allowed Convex to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Jenkins drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Convex dives on top into guard.

Jenkins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Convex defends well.
Convex passes Jenkins's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Convex is looking to advance position but Jenkins won't allow it.

Convex is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Convex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jenkins has his foot on Convex's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Convex works his way back into a safe position though.

Convex has gone for a leg lock! Jenkins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Convex's guard.
Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Convex is keeping the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jenkins throws a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jenkins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Convex looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jenkins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Convex is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jenkins has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Convex is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Jenkins yanks on the arm and Convex is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Jenkins.
