Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyuzo Mifune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenichi Uzomaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mifune gets the takedown into side control.
Uzomaki is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Mifune wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Uzomaki, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Uzomaki is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mifune looking to sit in guard and control but Uzomaki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mifune might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Uzomaki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Uzomaki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
