Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rumble Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Montenegro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rumble Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Montenegro!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montenegro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Balboa.
Balboa fails with the takedown.
Balboa rushes Montenegro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Montenegro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Balboa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Balboa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montenegro tries to avoid it but Balboa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montenegro to the ground. Montenegro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Balboa slips under a jab.
Rumble Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Montenegro finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Montenegro throws a looping overhand right but Balboa ducks down to avoid it.
Balboa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Montenegro's waist but Montenegro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Balboa off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rumble Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A big right from Montenegro misses.
Nice takedown defense from Montenegro. No joy for Balboa on that attempt.
Montenegro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Balboa fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Balboa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Montenegro as he jumps to the side.
Montenegro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Balboa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Montenegro is trying to defend but Balboa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Montenegro tries to kick Balboa off but Balboa keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Balboa is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We're going to have a standup here because Rumble Balboa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Balboa feints and as Montenegro raises his hands in defense, Balboa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Balboa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Balboa stops Montenegro from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Balboa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Rumble Balboa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Balboa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Montenegro throws out the jab.
Balboa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fighters circle, before Balboa throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Montenegro's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Balboa lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Rumble Balboa!
During a confident post fight interview, Rumble Balboa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
