Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Big!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Salace!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salace avoids the head kick by Big.
Big tries to clinch up
and Salace counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Salace shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Big's guard.
Salace passes Big's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Salace is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Big has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Salace is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Salace is looking for a kimura but Big is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Salace to get the leverage.
Big avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Salace.
Big wants to control but Salace is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Salace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Big doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salace.

Salace throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Big wants to improve his position but Salace is controlling well.
Salace trying to pass the guard but Big defending well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Salace seems to be working for a kimura but Big defends the submission attempt.

Salace is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Big defends it well.

Salace is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Big doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Salace.

Salace is working for a submission of some sort.

Salace is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Big sees it coming and defends easily.
Salace looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Salace is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Big makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Big.
Big is trying to control the position but Salace postures up.

Salace trying to control the position from guard on top but Big is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salace controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Salace advances position into side control!
Big is trying to get back to his feet.

Big is trying to improve his position.
Salace wants to control but Big is keeping him busy.
Big is trying to control Salace's posture but Salace avoids it.
Big takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Salace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Salace wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Big, who protects the arm well.
Salace controlling the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Salace might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Salace dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Big closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Simon Salace has been cut.
A combination from Big does no damage.
Big tries to clinch

and Salace counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Big's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Salace thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Salace is looking to take a break and control but Big is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Salace tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Salace looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Big tries to improve position but can't.
Big is working hard here to advance position.
Salace wants to control but Big is keeping him busy.
Salace lands a decent elbow from side control.
Salace working the head and body with strikes.
Salace is working Big over with some ground and pound from side control.
Salace landing a few strikes.


Big is rocked!
Salace grinds an elbow into Big's temple.
Oh Big is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salace in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Big looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Salace turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Simon Salace!
Our winner, Simon Salace, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
