Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Johnson drives through and clinches with White against the cage.

White turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson pushes White away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, White gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

White throws a right and a left that both miss.
White takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard.

White wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
White is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

White stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.

White has clasped his hands together around Johnson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Johnson tries to get the hooks in deep but White pushed the leg off.
Johnson controlling the position well here. White rolled but Johnson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Johnson wants to control but White is keeping busy.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
White tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Johnson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

White tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Johnson has control of White's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and White regains control of the situation pretty easily.
White is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

White is wriggling around trying to escape.

Johnson tries to control but White wriggling away.
White tries to lock up and control but Johnson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Johnson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

White is in a horrible position here. Johnson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Johnson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

White is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Johnson has hold of White's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and White manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
White is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?

A big strike lands for Johnson! That's really hurt White and he's turned his back - Johnson keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Johnson jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
