Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mendez Papillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson throws a shot from downtown. Papillion moves away and avoids it.
A telegraphed right hand from Papillion misses the target.
Papillion wants to slow Simpson down by chopping away at his legs.
Simpson looks to land a body kick but Papillion moved away.
Simpson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Simpson misses with a hook. Papillion ducked under it nicely.
Papillion works the jab nicely.

Simpson has Papillion up against the cage in a clinch.
Simpson throws an elbow but it misses.
Papillion goes for a takedown attempt but Simpson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Simpson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Papillion scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Simpson doesn't seem bothered though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Papillion misses with a low kick.

and Simpson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Papillion gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Papillion walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Simpson lands a really nice looking cross but Papillion seems unphased.
Simpson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Papillion manages to avoid it.
Papillion misses with a looping right.
Papillion swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Papillion throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Papillion bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Papillion will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Simpson scoring well with a low kick there.
Simpson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Papillion shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Simpson dodges the punch combination from Papillion.
Simpson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Papillion was well out of range. Poor timing from Simpson.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Papillion rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Simpson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Simpson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

It looks like Edward Simpson has been cut.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Papillion pushes down on Simpson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Papillion is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
