Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Ley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Parrotface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Ley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Sgt Parrotface!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Parrotface throws a looping overhand right but Ley ducks down to avoid it.
Ley slaps away a takedown attempt from Parrotface, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Parrotface counters with a shoot takedown. Ley fights it but they end up in guard.

Parrotface has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ley wants to sweep but no luck.

Parrotface drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parrotface jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Parrotface postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Parrotface thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Parrotface not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Parrotface advances to half guard.
Ley wants to get back to his feet.

Parrotface throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Parrotface is looking for a kimura but Ley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parrotface to get the leverage.
Ley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parrotface on the ground.

Parrotface has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ley defend it? Parrotface steps over the head and cranks it - Ley is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Parrotface!
