PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miika Laihaila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adonis Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Laihaila might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Forever Lost. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laihaila has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Miika Laihaila has been cut.
Laihaila fails to land the takedown.

Silva sizes up Laihaila with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva is just content to waste time from the top position. Laihaila takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Laihaila to the mat! Laihaila manages to get full guard.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laihaila swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Horrible takedown by Laihaila or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Laihaila's guard.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Laihaila, up you get!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laihaila parries the strikes from Silva easily there. Silva is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Laihaila to escape.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adonis Silva hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Laihaila as he jumps to the side.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Adonis Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Laihaila takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Miika Laihaila is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Laihaila swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Laihaila will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Laihaila is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.

Laihaila takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Adonis Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
