PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Limon Portokalov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and War Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portokalov lands a two punch combo.

It looks like War Tank has been cut.

Tank shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tank showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tank lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tank throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Portokalov is trying to stand back up but Tank is controlling him
Tank throws a strike but Portokalov avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Tank distracts Portokalov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Tank with a nice head shot there.
Tank missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Portokalov wants to stand and escape but Tank is having none of it.
Tank throws an elbow that misses. Portokalov uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tank's guard. Nice move by Portokalov!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tank is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Portokalov wants to control from the top but Tank keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tank looking for a sweep. Not yet Tank, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Portokalov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Danga de danga de dang - Portokalov scores with a four punch combination!
Portokalov fails to land with a series of punches.
Portokalov takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Limon Portokalov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Portokalov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tank misses with a wild combination.
Tank swings widly with a right hand
and Portokalov counters with a nice uppercut.
Portokalov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Tank takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Portokalov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tank moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Portokalov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tank doesn't seem bothered though.
Tank looks gassed!
Tank misses with a jab to the body
and Portokalov counters with a left to the body.
Portokalov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That has opened up War Tank's cut even more.

A right-left combo lands from Portokalov.

Oooooh!!! Portokalov has knocked Tank down with a huge combo! Portokalov steps away and waves a wobbly Tank back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Tank is rocked!

The cut above War Tank's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Portokalov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tank looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Portokalov lands a left and a right that send Tank crashing to the mat, dazed. Portokalov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

War Tank's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at War Tank's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Limon Portokalov!
Limon Portokalov is the new heavyweight champion!
