Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Baldwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Baldwin!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots for a takedown but Baldwin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Baldwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Baldwin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Baldwin moves into full mount! Jones won't be happy about that!
Jones is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Baldwin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones tries to reverse the position but Baldwin maintains control.

BOOM! Baldwin connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Baldwin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Baldwin's attempts to control the action.
Baldwin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Baldwin isn't that keen on the idea.
Baldwin cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Baldwin wants to finish this one by submission but Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Baldwin.

Baldwin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Baldwin gets tackled into the cage by Jones. Jones maintains the clinch.

Jones gets control of Baldwin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Baldwin with a flurry of punches that miss.
Baldwin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Baldwin won't allow Jones to sweep him here.

A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baldwin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.

Baldwin moves into the clinch.
Baldwin wants to break free but Jones has control.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Baldwin sprawls well.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt

and Baldwin counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baldwin lands a couple of elbows.
Baldwin is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Baldwin has managed to sneak the leg through.
Baldwin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Baldwin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones tries to bench press Baldwin off him but Baldwin keeps the position.

Jones tries to bench press Baldwin off him but Baldwin keeps the position.

Jones is trying to control Baldwin's posture but Baldwin avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brandon Baldwin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Jones closes the distance and clinches.

Jones has Baldwin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Baldwin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Baldwin which made him look bad.

Baldwin closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.

Baldwin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Baldwin throws a big right hand that misses.
Jones wants to stand up but Baldwin is controlling him.

Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Baldwin drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Baldwin seems to have locked his on tight now - Jones screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Baldwin, as he picks up the win!
