Machine comes to the ring accompanied by Party Rock - LMFAO. Smith has chosen Monster as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.
Smith scores with a shot to the body.
Machine lands a jab to the head.
A jab from Machine does it's job there.

It looks like Adam Smith has been cut.
Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Machine throws a left and a right that both miss

and Smith counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Machine has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

It looks like War Machine has been cut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smith.
Machine wants to break free but Smith has control.
Smith keeps control of Machine as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Machine rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Machine tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Machine swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.

Smith drives through and clinches with Machine against the ropes.
Machine is trying to push Smith away but Smith has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Smith breaks from the clinch.

Smith clinches with his opponent.
Machine tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith lands a nice looking body shot.

Smith pushes Machine up against the ropes in a clinch.
A left hand lands to the body for Smith.
Machine is breathing heavily.
Smith has Machine pressed against the ropes, preventing Machine from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Smith lands a body punch in the clinch.
Smith pushes Machine back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Smith will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Machine up against the ropes.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Machine tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith lands a body shot.

Good exchange - Machine coming out on top.
Smith slips under a jab.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Smith feints and then cracks Machine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Machine down.

and Smith counters by clinching up.

Machine is looking to break free of the clinch but Smith has double underhooks.
Machine is trying to break the clinch but Smith has him pressed against the ropes.

Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Machine.
Machine takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Smith moves into the clinch successfully.
Machine wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Machine tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.
Machine is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Smith is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Machine throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Machine throws a jab when Smith was well out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Machine. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Machine 's head but he takes it in his stride.

and Smith counters with a one-two to the body.
Smith throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Machine on the side of the head.

and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.

Machine is rocked!

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Oh Machine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Smith breaks from the clinch.
Machine seems to have got his legs back now.
Machine takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Machine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Machine connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
No joy there for Machine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith ducks under a wild hook from Machine.
Machine throws a lazy uppercut

and Smith counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Machine is trying to break the clinch but Smith has him pressed against the ropes.
Smith is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Machine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Machine misses with a body punch
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Machine throws a poor cross that misses
and Smith counters with an inside leg kick.
Machine throws a sloppy body shot
and Smith counters with a big right hand! Oh Machine is in trouble here! Smith follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
