Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francis Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Oddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oddi has chosen Worried About My Baby - Howlin' Wolf as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Oddi!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan is looking to clinch but Oddi is avoiding it.
Oddi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jordan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Oddi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jordan smiles and moves away.

Oddi has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jordan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Francis Jordan.
Oddi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jordan circles away quickly and effectively.
Oddi shoots in and drives through. Jordan sprawls well.
Oddi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jordan's head backwards.

Oddi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jordan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jordan manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jordan will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Oddi up against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Francis Jordan.
Jordan tries to clinch but Oddi is having none of it.
Jordan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oddi keeps the fight on the outside.

and Jordan counters with a head kick that drops Oddi to the mat! Oddi scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Oddi throws a looping overhand right but Jordan ducks down to avoid it.
Antonio Oddi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Antonio Oddi has been cut.
Francis Jordan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jordan lands a big knee to the head and Oddi goes down! Jordan pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Francis Jordan!
Francis Jordan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
