Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernado Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Garris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavares comes to the cage accompanied by All Of The Lights. Garris has chosen Blowin Money Fast by: Rick Ross as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fernado Tavares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Garris!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares with a lazy takedown attempt
and Garris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tavares changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garris tries to avoid it but Tavares manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garris to the ground. Garris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Garris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tavares fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fernado Tavares. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tavares closes the distance and clinches up with Garris, looking for a takedown. Tavares pushes Garris against the cage but Garris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oh, another knee lands and Tavares is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Tavares doesn't seem to be complaining.
