PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cullen Castrello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danger David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Castrello might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DFD - Son Of A Gun. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danger David!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castrello is looking to land body kicks.

David moves into range and clinches up with Castrello.
Castrello fails to pull guard.
Castrello working hard to break the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. David obliges.
Castrello jumps guard but David turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Castrello tries to pull guard but David won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cullen Castrello. That's going to take a lot out of him.

David pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Castrello circles away from the clinch attempt.
David tries to clinch there but Castrello circles away.

David clinches up with Castrello and pushes him back against the cage.
David lands a damaging elbow.
David lands an elbow that stopped Castrello in his tracks for a moment.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Castrello blocks the elbow strike.
Castrello avoiding damage as David throws knees to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Castrello's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Castrello tries to pull guard but David won't allow it.
David connects with a knee to the head.
Knees in the clinch landing for David.

Castrello manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

David gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
David slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

David lands a big head kick that sends Castrello tumbling to the mat! David takes a step backwards and waves Castrello back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Castrello is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Castrello fakes a jab and throws a low kick but David checks it well.
Oh Castrello is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
David is looking to clinch but Castrello is avoiding it.
David looks to land a body kick but Castrello moved away.
Castrello seems to have got his legs back now.
David moves out of range as Castrello strikes.
A low kick from Castrello is predictable there

and David counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Castrello is trying to pull guard but David has him pressed against the cage.

David breaks from the clinch.
Castrello thows a leg kick but David checks it
and David counters with a huge head kick that drops Castrello! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
