The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fair closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Fair takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fair shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.
Fair takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Chris Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson closes the distance and pushes Fair back into the cage.
Fair is trying to pull guard but Thompson has him pressed against the cage.
Chris Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zack Fair.
Fair tries to pull guard but Thompson holds him up against the cage and eventually Fair drops back down to his feet.
Thompson tries to throw a body punch but Fair avoids it by throwing Thompson back against the cage.

Thompson is leaning against Fair and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Fair fails to pull guard.
Thompson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Thompson keeping moving, preventing Fair from controlling successfully.
Fair drops back, looking for a kneebar! Thompson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Thompson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Thompson!
Thompson throwing strikes but Fair manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Thompson is looking to reverse the position.
Fair has hold of Thompson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Thompson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fair cranks the arm and Thompson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Thompson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
