The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams tries to keep at a distance but Jacobs has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jacobs is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Williams is defending well for now.

Jacobs works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Williams is pulling down on Jacobs's head. It's preventing any offense from Jacobs, at least for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Rex Williams will probably get the nod.
