The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Embers connects with a crisp jab.
Shields tries for a takedown but Embers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Shields moves into the clinch.

Shields tries to pull guard but Embers forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Shields misses with a short punch on the inside.
Embers lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Embers lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shields backwards.

Embers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Shields closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Shields clinches up with Embers and pushes him back against the cage.
Embers stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
