Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Max Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steiner comes to the cage accompanied by Agonoize - Baeng Baeng Goodbye. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mayo's choice of entrance music: Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mayo.
Steiner slips a straight right by Mayo.
Mayo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Steiner on the side of the head.
Steiner misses with a two punch combination.
Steiner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mayo.

and Mayo counters with a straight right hand.
Steiner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mayo.
Steiner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mayo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Steiner.
Steiner throws an overhand right that lands on Mayo's shoulder, as Mayo tries to avoid the shot.

Steiner takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mayo catches Steiner with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steiner scores with a one two! Mayo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Mayo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mayo moves out of range as Steiner strikes.
Mayo fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mayo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Steiner stalks Mayo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mayo's face. Mayo staggers backwards, shaken.
Steiner scores with a three punch combo!
Mayo works the jab nicely.
Mayo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Mayo as he connects with a hook.
Mayo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mayo throws a shot from downtown. Steiner moves away and avoids it.
Mayo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Mayo misses with an uppercut. Steiner saw that one coming.
Steiner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steiner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mayo. Mayo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Steiner misses with a wild combination.
Nice defenses there by Steiner.

Mayo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Steiner had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Mayo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Steiner is breathing heavily.
Mayo jabs Steiner right on the nose. Steiner blinks but takes it well.

Mayo throws a jab but it's blocked by Steiner.
Oh Steiner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A jab from Mayo misses.
Mayo jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mayo moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Mayo.
Mayo jerks Steiner's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Steiner drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Mayo goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Mayo because Steiner was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Chris Mayo!
Chris Mayo very nearly forgot to thank Steel Penn's Laundry 93% amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
