Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Inge Grepp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kent has chosen Superman Theme Song as his entrance music. Grepp has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Inge Grepp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent misses with a looping left.
Kent swings away with a body shot that misses
and Grepp counters with a straight right hand.
Grepp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Kent swings widly with a right hand
enabling Grepp to counter with a crisp jab.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Grepp to score with a decent uppercut.
Kent chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Grepp can pounce on him.
Kent thows a left - swing and a miss!
Grepp misses with a looping right.
Kent closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kent.
Kent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Grepp avoids it really well and circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grepp throws an overhand right that lands on Kent's shoulder, as Kent tries to avoid the shot.

Kent misses with a hook. Grepp ducked under it nicely.
Grepp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.
Kent works Grepp's body with a nice hook.
Grepp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kent throws a body punch but Grepp moves out of range.
Kent displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grepp throws out the jab.
Grepp takes a swing at Kent's ribcage but misses.

Grepp punishes Kent's body with a nice straight punch.

and Kent counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Grepp ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Grepp moves out of range of the strikes.
Grepp scores with a jab to the head.
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grepp moves away.
Grepp cracks Kent with an open hand slap.
A swing and a miss from Kent.
Inge Grepp is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kent shoots in looking for a takedown. Grepp tries to sprawl out of it but Kent keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grepp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Inge Grepp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Kent.

Kent looks to land a right hand but Grepp moved out of range.
Kent misses the shot to the body.
Kent swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grepp.
Grepp checks the leg kick nicely there.
Kent tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kent closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grepp circles away.

Kent dives in and scores a takedown into Grepp's guard.
Kent wants to control from the top but Grepp keeps moving.

Grepp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kent controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Grepp tries to land a sweep but no joy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Clark Kent hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Grepp slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kent. Grepp does a little dance to reset his feet.
Grepp slaps away a takedown attempt from Kent, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kent takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Grepp looks to land a right hand but Kent moved out of range.
Kent avoids a kick to the body.
Kent misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Grepp.
Kent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kent. Grepp does a little dance to reset his feet.

Grepp wants to clinch.
Grepp bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Grepp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kent.

and Grepp counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kent thuds his right hand into Grepp's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Grepp tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kent swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grepp scores with a nice strike.
Kent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grepp moves away.
Kent ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kent will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kent swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Grepp misses with a wild body shot.
Kent misses the shot to the body.

Grepp drives through and clinches with Kent against the cage.

Kent lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Kent seems to be looking for submissions.
Grepp has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kent is working away from the top position though.

Kent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kent wants to work for an arm triangle but Grepp is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Grepp is refusing to be controlled, as Kent sits in half guard.
Kent frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kent trying to control but Grepp is having none of it.
Grepp is looking to get to half guard.

Kent is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Grepp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Grepp shrugs it off.
Grepp is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kent is working for a guillotine from mount but Grepp frees his head quite easily.
Kent can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Grepp is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clark Kent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kent gets tackled into the cage by Grepp. Grepp maintains the clinch.
Grepp comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kent lands a nice uppercut.
Kent is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Grepp to keep the fight standing.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Grepp.

Grepp tries to land knees in the clinch but Kent avoids the damage to the body.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kent lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kent avoids the elbow strike from Grepp, against the cage.
Kent wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grepp has him pressed against the cage.

Kent breaks from the clinch.
Grepp gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Grepp keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kent.
Nice takedown defense from Grepp. No joy for Kent on that attempt.

Kent displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grepp throws out the jab.

Clark Kent is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kent throws a lazy right hand but Grepp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grepp takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good leg kick by Grepp there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kent tries to score with a low kick but Grepp moves his leg out of the way.
Kent lands a nice looking body shot.
Grepp dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kent. That did some damage!
Grepp avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kent misses with a hook.
Grepp takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Grepp misses with a series of wild punches.
Kent shoots in for a double leg but Grepp sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Inge Grepp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Kent.

Grepp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grepp lands an elbow just above Kent 's eye.


It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
Kent lands with a left to the head.
Grepp lands an elbow inside.
A head punch on the inside from Kent fails to land.

And that's the end of the fight!
Clark Kent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
