Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshita Otsuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendo Nagasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Otsuma closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Nagasaki manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Nagasaki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Otsuma paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Otsuma misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nagasaki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Nagasaki is working for a kimura but Otsuma is defending it quite comfortably.
Otsuma is breathing heavily.

Nagasaki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Otsuma defends it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nagasaki has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Otsuma defend it? Nagasaki steps over the head and cranks it - Otsuma is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nagasaki!
