The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama shoots in but Rosa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kazama fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Rosa does no damage.
Rosa looks to land a combination but Kazama avoids it well.
Kazama fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rosa lands with a shot to the body.
Kazama misses with the combination.
Ayashi Kazama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rosa tries to bum rush Kazama with a series of wild strikes but Kazama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kazama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kazama does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Rosa takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kazama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rosa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kazama somewhat.

Rosa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Kazama takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rosa swings for the body but Kazama moves out of range.
Rosa throws a looping overhand right but Kazama ducks down to avoid it.

Rosa lands a left and a right that send Kazama crashing to the mat, dazed. Rosa thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kazama is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kazama gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Kazama tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Rosa is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Kazama buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Kazama!! Kazama is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Rosa throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Rosa!
