Rooney lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A right-left combo lands from Rooney.
Rooney throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rooney stuffs the takedown attempt from Ziemski. Ziemski gets slowly back to his feet.
Ziemski swats away the attempt to clinch by Rooney.
Zenek Ziemski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rooney drives through and clinches with Ziemski against the cage.
Rooney wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ziemski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rooney fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Ziemski is trying to trip Rooney. He has hold of a leg but Rooney is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ziemski persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rooney can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ziemski wants to pass the guard but Rooney is keeping the position.
Ziemski has gone for a leg lock! Rooney slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ziemski's guard.
Rooney must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ziemski is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rooney throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Ziemski's body to avoid the submission. Ziemski has instead reached around Rooney's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ziemski arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
