Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Benson's guard.
Smith controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith gets to his feet - Benson follows without any prompting.

Smith gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Benson fails to pull guard.

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Smith clinches with his opponent.
A body shot lands from Smith.
Benson looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Benson looks a forlorn figure.
Smith is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Smith fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That has opened up Johnny Benson's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
