Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Golden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kid's choice of entrance music: Go to sleep. Karate Kid is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golden misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kid.
Kid tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Golden fails to land with a series of punches.
Kid lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kid.

Kid forces Golden back against the cage and clinches.
Golden tries to land knees in the clinch but Kid avoids the damage to the body.
Golden tries to throw a body punch but Kid avoids it by throwing Golden back against the cage.

Golden lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Golden postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kid to stand up.

Golden moves into the clinch.
Golden blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kid changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Golden fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Kid drops Golden with a nice combination! Kid dives into Golden's guard, looking to finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kid throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Golden tries to clinch up but Kid circles away and keeps his distance.
Kid drops Golden with a beautiful combination! Golden stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kid is looking for the KO!

Golden is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kid doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Golden.
Golden is breathing heavily.
Kid works his way to full guard. Good work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Kid working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Golden doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Golden manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kid looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Golden puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Kid bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Golden's guard.

Golden prevents Kid from improving his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Golden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Golden wants to work for an arm triangle but Kid is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
