Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthor Basilicus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Basilicus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morgan looking to sit in guard and control but Basilicus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Morgan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Basilicus passes into half guard.
Basilicus wants to stand up but Morgan is controlling the position.
Basilicus prevents Morgan from standing back up.

Basilicus tries to pass the half guard into mount. Morgan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are battling for position here. Morgan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Basilicus wants to get up but he can't break Morgan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Morgan looking for a guillotine here but Basilicus defends easily.

Basilicus gets to his feet. Morgan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

David Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morgan scores with a head kick. Basilicus tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

That kick from Basilicus tenderised Morgan's leg. Morgan is trying to keep his angry face on.

Morgan swings for the body but Basilicus moves out of range.

Basilicus clinches up with Morgan and pushes him back against the cage.
Basilicus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Basilicus tries to land a front kick but Morgan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Morgan has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Basilicus.
Basilicus lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Basilicus lands a big head kick that sends Morgan tumbling to the mat! Basilicus takes a step backwards and waves Morgan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Morgan is rocked!
It looks like David Morgan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Basilicus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Morgan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Morgan is still on wobbly legs! Can Basilicus finish him?
Basilicus lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Morgan crumples to the floor! Basilicus milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Anthor Basilicus!
Anthor Basilicus was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
