Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Martin Le Corre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wiremu Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wiremu Williams will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Martin Le Corre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wiremu Williams!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Williams throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice defenses there by Le Corre.
Le Corre takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Le Corre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Williams defends it nicely.

Le Corre shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Le Corre throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Williams was covering up waiting for the punch and Le Corre finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Le Corre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Le Corre's legs - danger averted.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Le Corre shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Le Corre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Le Corre takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Le Corre is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Williams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Williams shrugs it off.

Le Corre is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Williams has managed to escape the submission attempt.
