Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alec Drunell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and London Saint James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drunell comes to the cage accompanied by Freaks and Geeks - Childish Gambino. Saint James has chosen Rocky Road To Dublin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drunell shoots in looking for a takedown. Saint James tries to sprawl out of it but Drunell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Saint James manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Drunell works over Saint James's head and body with a nice combination.
Drunell dives in and grabs Saint James's left leg, looking for a takedown. Saint James pushes down on Drunell's head and hops out.

and Saint James counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Alec Drunell has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drunell gets tackled into the cage by Saint James. Saint James maintains the clinch.

Saint James breaks from the clinch.
Saint James fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Drunell checks it well.

Saint James drives through and clinches with Drunell against the cage.

Saint James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Saint James lands a big uppercut and Drunell crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Drunell looks OK. Saint James waves Drunell back to his feet!

Drunell is rocked!

Drunell throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Saint James rattles Drunell with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Drunell tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Saint James dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Drunell stiff and motionless on the mat!

London Saint James was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
