Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Swann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Wagner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Swann!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swann gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wagner counters with a nice uppercut.
Swann shoots in for a takedown but Wagner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Swann fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tyson Wagner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Swann.
Wagner misses the jab.

Wagner closes the distance and pushes Swann back into the cage.

Wagner lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Wagner escapes and gets back to his feet.
Swann misses with a takedown attempt

and Wagner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wagner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wagner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wagner pushes down on Swann's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Wagner prevents Swann from improving his position.
Swann blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wagner.
Swann trying to get back to full guard but Wagner takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Wagner seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Swann is holding on tight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Swann is squirming around, avoiding Wagner's attempts to control the action.

Wagner is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Swann can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Swann is trying desperately to improve position.

Wagner is working for a guillotine from mount but Swann frees his head quite easily.
Wagner wants to take Swann's back here but Swann is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Wagner prevents Swann from getting the reversal.
Wagner controlling his opponent.
Wagner moves to the back position.
Swann is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Wagner off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Wagner is working for a rear naked choke. Swann is not defending it well and Wagner has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Swann refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Swann's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tyson Wagner!
