Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dale Firebird!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster fails to land with a series of punches.
Webster scores with a jab to the jaw.
Webster thows a leg kick but Firebird checks it
and Firebird counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Webster thinking.
Firebird lands a nice shot that snaps Webster's head back.
Firebird scores with a sloppy right hand. Webster should have avoided that one.

Webster looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Firebird!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Firebird is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Firebird is squirming around, avoiding Webster's attempts to control the action.
Webster misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Firebird really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Firebird really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Webster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Webster jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Firebird manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Firebird wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Firebird takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Firebird wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Webster stands up.
Jab from Firebird.
Webster takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Firebird showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Webster.
Webster is breathing heavily.
A head kick from Firebird lands but Webster takes it in his stride.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Firebird moves out of range as Webster strikes.
A shot to the liver by Firebird. Beautiful body shot.
Webster tries to clinch there but Firebird circles away.
Firebird connects with a high kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Webster is trying to break the clinch but Firebird is controlling him.

Webster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Firebird lands a head kick!
Firebird lands with a kick to the temple. Webster shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Webster looks to land a right hand but Firebird moved out of range.
A punch combination from Webster misses.
Firebird closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Webster is defended easily by Firebird.
Dale Firebird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webster has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Firebird.
Firebird lands a high kick!
Firebird lands with an overhand left.
Firebird scores with a jab. Webster acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Firebird jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nice takedown defense from Firebird. No joy for Webster on that attempt.
Firebird lands with an uppercut that bounces Webster off the cage and back into range.
Webster takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Webster is rocked!
Webster gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Oh Webster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Firebird is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Webster gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Firebird gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dale Firebird!
