The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Cruz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Chris Jones has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cruz connects with a combination that backs up Jones into the cage. Cruz lands a flurry of punches that gets past Jones's guard. Jones is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Cruz bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
