Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griffin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roll thows a body shot but no joy.
Griffin stalks Roll and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Roll's face. Roll staggers backwards, shaken.
Griffin fails to land with a series of punches.
Roll throws a head kick but Griffin moves out of range.
Griffin jabs Roll right on the nose. Roll blinks but takes it well.
Griffin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Roll stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roll's guard.

Griffin is trying to control the action in half guard but Roll is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Griffin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roll defends it well.

Griffin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Griffin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Griffin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Roll is controlling Griffin's position as best he can from this difficult position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Griffin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Griffin closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Griffin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Roll throws a sloppy head kick and Griffin moves out of range easily.

Philadelphia Roll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Roll is rocked!
Griffin lands with a big left! Roll is wobbled badly! Griffin comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Roll to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
