Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lars Thunstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Machin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thunstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Spitfire. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lee Machin was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lars Thunstrom!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Machin!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machin moves out of range as Thunstrom strikes.
Machin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Machin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Machin throws a big shot that misses.
Machin lands an overhand right.
Thunstrom takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Machin lands a left and a right that send Thunstrom crashing to the mat, dazed. Machin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Thunstrom is rocked!
It looks like Lars Thunstrom has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Thunstrom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thunstrom walks straight into a right hand from Machin - that's dropped him! Machin jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Thunstrom from any more punishment! Thunstrom complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lee Machin!
