The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goat fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Marsh looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marsh shoots for a double leg takedown but Goat sprawls well. He's pushed Marsh's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Goat ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Marsh looks for a takedown but Goat sprawls well.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Marsh. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Goat enables Marsh to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Goat manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marsh lands a nice short elbow.
Marsh wants to free his trapped foot but Goat is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goat swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Goat holds on and takes a little breather.
Marsh wants to pass the guard but Goat is keeping the position.
Goat looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marsh is one step ahead there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Marsh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Goat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Marsh!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Goat uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Marsh has time to react.
Marsh takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Goat fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Marsh has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Marsh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Goat lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marsh circles away quickly and effectively.
Marsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goat's waist but Goat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marsh off to one side.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goat is on top in guard.

Oh Marsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marsh gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Goat gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Marsh is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
