The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uusivirta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kitauchi was well out of range. Poor timing from Uusivirta.

Uusivirta with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kitauchi to score with a decent uppercut.
A bone on bone clash there as Kitauchi blocks the leg kick.
Tarmo Uusivirta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Uusivirta throws a lazy right hand but Kitauchi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kitauchi throws a series of punches but Uusivirta moves out of range.
Kitauchi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Kitauchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A chopping leg kick lands by Uusivirta.

Uusivirta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kitauchi's head.
Nice jab there from Uusivirta.
Kitauchi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Uusivirta can pounce on him.
Good leg kick by Uusivirta there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Uusivirta lands with a hook. Kitauchi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kitauchi is rocked!
Uusivirta cracks Kitauchi's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Kitauchi slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Uusivirta can do further damage! This one is done, son!
