Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ignatious Hashisha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meridius's entrance music is Sexion d'Assaut - Desole . A fine choice. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maximus Meridius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ignatious Hashisha!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hashisha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Meridius.
That kick from Meridius tenderised Hashisha's leg. Hashisha is trying to keep his angry face on.
Hashisha looks gassed!
Meridius fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hashisha looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Meridius drives through and clinches with Hashisha against the cage.
Meridius creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hashisha's defenses.
It looks like Ignatious Hashisha has been cut.
Meridius lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meridius manages to break the clinch.
Hashisha throws a hook but Meridius blocks it.
Hashisha misses with a hook to the body
and Meridius counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hashisha takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Meridius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hashisha takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Meridius lands with a straight right. Hashisha didn't see that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hashisha showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Meridius.
Meridius scoring well with a low kick there.
Meridius comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Meridius forces Hashisha back against the cage and clinches.
Hashisha takes a knee to the side of the body.
Hashisha's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Meridius content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Meridius scores with a shot to the side of Hashisha's head.
Hashisha takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Meridius working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Meridius scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hashisha is rocked!
Hashisha is pressed against the cage. Meridius pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Hashisha! Two more big strikes from Meridius and Hashisha crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Maximus Meridius!
Maximus Meridius decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
