Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Texas Pete is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pete rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pete connects with a body shot that sends Smith's belly button to the back.
Pete lands with a cross.
Pete swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pete is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith.
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sloppy strikes from Pete. Those never looked like landing.
Smith takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pete fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Smith looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pete connects with a single shot there.
Smith is breathing heavily.

Smith takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pete fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head.
Pete pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Smith back to the cage. Pete follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Smith is rocked!
Pete throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Pete swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pete won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith is trying to ground and pound but Pete uses the momentary lack of control by Smith to regain half guard.
Pete moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith throws an elbow that misses. Pete uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by Pete!

Pete gets to his feet. Smith looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Pete connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Smith avoids a punch combination nicely.

Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pete misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Pete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pete wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pete connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smith momentarily.
Pete connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Smith walks into a left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pete dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Pete.
Pete lands a slapping body shot.

Pete moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Pete throws a monster overhand right that drops Smith! Pete follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
