And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bubba Rugowski!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rugowski throws a head kick that misses.
Rugowski dodges the punch combination from Royster.
Rugowski is looking to clinch but Royster is avoiding it.
Royster swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Rugowski has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rugowski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rugowski tries to close the distance and clinch but Royster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rugowski instigates a clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Royster tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rugowski smiles and moves away.
Marcus Royster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rugowski counters with a straight right hand.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Royster wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Royster wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rugowski has him pressed against the cage.
Royster is looking to break free of the clinch but Rugowski has double underhooks.

Rugowski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rugowski throws out a powerful jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Royster throws a lazy head kick

and Rugowski counters with a crisp one two that drops Royster! Rugowski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Royster to his feet! Royster is in big trouble!

Royster is rocked!
Royster is breathing heavily.
Rugowski seems to be stalking Royster here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Royster drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
