The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKee shoots for a takedown but Nostra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McKee fails with a takedown attempt.

Nostra moves into the clinch.

Nostra pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nostra finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nostra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Costa Nostra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William McKee.
McKee shoots in looking for a takedown but Nostra manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McKee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nostra throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McKee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nostra is in McKee's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Nostra postures up in McKee's guard and throws a big left but McKee blocks it.

Nostra moves into range and clinches up with McKee.

A frustrated look appears on McKee's face as he tries to break the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nostra misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Nostra's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Nostra jumps into guard, dragging McKee to the mat.

Costa Nostra dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

McKee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nostra but Nostra pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McKee takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Nostra is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McKee defends it well.
McKee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nostra is taking a breather. McKee says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Nostra uses his free foot to push down on McKee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McKee.
McKee tries to hold on but Nostra postures up.
McKee is working to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close second round but I would say that Costa Nostra will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

McKee motions for Nostra to come forward. McKee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Nostra looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

McKee tries to lock up and control but Nostra gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nostra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McKee is trying to defend but Nostra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

McKee wants to get back to his feet but Nostra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McKee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nostra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McKee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nostra kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. William McKee was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Nostra is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McKee's half guard.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
McKee tries to kick Nostra off but Nostra keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

McKee does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McKee throws a right and a left that Nostra avoids nicely.

Nostra shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Nostra unloads with some shots from mount but McKee bucks and avoids them well.
