Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rango Mirceno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salomon Diakte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirceno's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Battle Hymn. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Salomon Diakte was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diakte swats away the attempt to clinch by Mirceno.

Diakte shoots in for a takedown but Mirceno shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rango Mirceno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Diakte looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mirceno with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mirceno fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Diakte avoids it really well and circles away.

Mirceno rushes Diakte and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mirceno has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Diakte is proving hard to escape from.
Diakte wants to stand and escape but Mirceno is having none of it.

Diakte must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diakte decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Oh Mirceno is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mirceno pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Diakte throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Mirceno is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
