Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Super Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hans comes to the cage accompanied by Hans being Hans. Pat Small told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hans walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Small lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Small slips a jab from Hans.
Pat Small seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hans moves out of range as Small strikes.
Small stuffs the takedown.
Small throws a series of punches but Hans moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Small. Hans does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Small sprawls well. Small wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hans gets slowly back to his feet.
Small lunges at Hans with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hans's hand.
Small ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hans moves away.
Hans throws a low kick but Small avoids it.
Hans throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hans tries to clinch there but Small circles away.

Hans takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Small misses with a series of wild punches.
Small avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hans uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Small.
Small bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hans rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Small counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hans fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Small manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Small lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hans doesn't seem phased though.
Hans feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hans prevents Small from getting back to his feet.
Hans drops back, looking for a kneebar! Small looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Small looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Small!

Hans is looking for a sweep.

Small tries to stand but Hans is controlling his head.
Hans wants to control but Small postures up.
Small really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hans is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hans sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Small wants to control but Hans is keeping him busy.
Small wants to free his trapped foot but Hans is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Small throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Small might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Hans throws a nice looking combination but Small bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hans has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Small finds it's way round the side to connect with Hans's head.

Hans has gone for a leg lock! Small slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hans's guard.

Pat Small showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hans lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Small has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Small and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Small shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hans eats them both and turns towards Small to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Hans throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Small sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hans turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Hans tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Small paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hans shoots in looking for a takedown but Small manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hans's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pat Small comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
