Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gabriel Ingleheart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Urijah Faber!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingleheart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Faber circles away quickly and effectively.
Ingleheart tries to clinch but Faber moves away

and Faber counters with a single leg into guard. Ingleheart didn't expect that.
Faber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Faber has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Urijah Faber hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Ingleheart tries to bum rush Faber with a series of wild strikes but Faber uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ingleheart wants to clinch up but Faber keeps it at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Faber closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ingleheart circles away.
Ingleheart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Faber swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ingleheart misses with a double jab

so Faber counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Faber looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Faber drops back looking for a leg! Ingleheart is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ingleheart manages to kick Faber off! Faber jumps back into Ingleheart's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ingleheart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Faber controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Urijah Faber.
A combination from Ingleheart does no damage.
Ingleheart throws a shot from downtown. Faber moves away and avoids it.
Ingleheart closes the distance but Faber moves to the side

and Faber counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ingleheart's guard now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Faber stays in close to Ingleheart's body and controls the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Urijah Faber.
Ingleheart fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Faber checks it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ingleheart throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Faber counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Faber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ingleheart is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Urijah Faber was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Ingleheart doesn't manage to clinch there - Faber circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Urijah Faber dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Faber shoots in for a takedown but Ingleheart shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ingleheart fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ingleheart misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gabriel Ingleheart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Ingleheart. Those never looked like landing.
Ingleheart pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ingleheart tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Faber counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Faber is trying for a kimura here. Ingleheart looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Faber wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Urijah Faber!
Urijah Faber took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
