PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Namirov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Namirov fails with a takedown attempt.

and Kean counters with a crisp one two that drops Namirov! Kean thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Namirov to his feet! Namirov is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kean misses with a hook. Namirov ducked under it nicely.
Namirov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kean sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kirill Namirov wasn't active enough on the ground.
Namirov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kean sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Namirov somewhat.

Kean is fighting off a takedown attempt but Namirov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kean to the mat. Kean regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Namirov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kean looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kean looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kean!

Kean wants to control but Namirov is keeping him busy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Namirov is pressing down on Kean's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Namirov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kean manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Namirov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kean is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Namirov, into his guard.

Kean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Namirov on the ground.
Namirov is looking to stall here but Kean recovers full guard.

Kean has momentary wrist control but Namirov slips an elbow through the middle.

Kean on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kean tries to get out of the position.

Namirov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kean keeps working.
Kean is controlling Namirov's trapped leg to prevent Namirov from advancing to side control.
Kean has hold of Namirov's hands but Namirov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Still in half guard, Namirov seems content to control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Namirov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Namirov winds up and cracks Kean with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Kirill Namirov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Nice uppercut lands for Kean. That snapped Namirov's head back.
Kean will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Namirov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Namirov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kean takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Namirov's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
