Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eriko Corleone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Okusaka!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Okusaka paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Corleone looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Okusaka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Okusaka is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Corleone gets full guard.
Okusaka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Corleone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Okusaka passes into side control.

Okusaka tries to move to mount but Corleone blocks the move with his legs.
Okusaka takes a little break here. Corleone wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Corleone is trying to reverse the position but instead Okusaka has taken his back - oops!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Richard Okusaka just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Okusaka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Corleone isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Okusaka stacks Corleone on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Okusaka!
Okusaka passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Corleone!
Corleone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Okusaka looking to secure an arm triangle but Corleone defends it well.

Corleone swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Okusaka trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Corleone is trying desperately to improve position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Okusaka controlling the action here.
Corleone wants to control but Okusaka is keeping busy and won't allow it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Okusaka dominated that round.
That's time! Corleone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Okusaka drives through with a takedown into guard.
Okusaka works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Okusaka controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Okusaka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Okusaka counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Corleone's guard now.
Okusaka controls from within his opponent's guard.
Okusaka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Okusaka advances position into side control!
Okusaka moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Corleone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Okusaka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Richard Okusaka has got the better of the ground game so far.
Okusaka slows the pace down.

Okusaka has hold of Corleone's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Corleone seems comfortable defending it but Okusaka has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Corleone is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Corleone is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Okusaka couldn't care less - he's delighted!
