The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quest lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Quest shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Quest misses with a wild combination.
Nick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz scores with a one two! Quest had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Diaz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Quest is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Diaz off and has taken his back!

Quest is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Diaz with him. Diaz is trying to defend but Quest has an arm under the chin now! Diaz grimaces and is forced to tap out!
