Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tooks Parr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parr has managed to clinch.
Parr tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Parr has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
James misses with a hook from the clinch.
James wants to break free but Parr has control.
Parr jumps guard but James stands there with Parr around his waist. Parr gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
James tries to break the clinch but Parr is controlling the position.
James is looking to break free of the clinch but Parr has double underhooks.
Parr tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and James avoids it.

Parr breaks from the clinch.

Parr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Parr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Parr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for James!
James is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tooks Parr.

Parr closes the distance and clinches.
Parr wants to get back to striking at distance but James won't allow it.
James wants to break free but Parr has control.
Parr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Parr gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jesse James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tooks Parr.
Parr shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.

James tries to sprawl but Parr drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Parr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed James's head.

Parr decides to return to a standing position.
Parr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away.
James misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parr.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
Parr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James lands a right hand that snaps the head of Parr backwards.

A frustrated look appears on James's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Parr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables James to keep the fight standing.
Parr tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Parr tries to land a knee to the head but James blocks with his arms.
James wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Parr has him pressed against the cage.
Parr tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Parr is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

James tries to bum rush Parr with a series of wild strikes but Parr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tooks Parr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

James sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Parr controlling the action here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tooks Parr hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Parr cracks James with a good jab.

James gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Parr engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Parr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well Parr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
