Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knut Paulsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stackhouse might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to J. Cole- Return of Simba. Paulsen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Smashing The Opponent kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Stackhouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Knut Paulsen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paulsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Paulsen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Paulsen moves into the clinch.

Stackhouse breaks from the clinch.
Knut Paulsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Stackhouse.
Paulsen shoots in for a takedown but Stackhouse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Stackhouse fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Jason Stackhouse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knut Paulsen.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stackhouse swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Paulsen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Stackhouse gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Stackhouse wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Paulsen has him pressed against the cage.

Stackhouse wants to get back to striking at distance but Paulsen won't allow it.
Paulsen tries to pull guard but Stackhouse holds him up against the cage and eventually Paulsen drops back down to his feet.
Stackhouse is looking to break free of the clinch but Paulsen has double underhooks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A frustrated look appears on Stackhouse's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Stackhouse has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Stackhouse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stackhouse connects with a jab.
A head kick misses from Stackhouse.

Stackhouse closes the distance and clinches.
Stackhouse wants to get back to striking at distance but Paulsen won't allow it.

Stackhouse is trying to force a seperation but Paulsen has the dominant position.

Paulsen manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Paulsen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Paulsen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stackhouse defends well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paulsen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Paulsen with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Stackhouse can't handle though.

Paulsen pushes Stackhouse off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stackhouse throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Paulsen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Paulsen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Paulsen showed some decent athleticism there.
Stackhouse is trying to stand up here but Paulsen is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paulsen wants to work for an arm triangle but Stackhouse is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Paulsen stands up out of the half guard.
Paulsen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stackhouse is fending him off so far but Paulsen persists. Nope, Stackhouse circles away and we're back to standing.
Paulsen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stackhouse scoring well with a low kick there.
Paulsen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stackhouse misses with a few strikes there.
Stackhouse turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Stackhouse lands a jab-cross combination.

Stackhouse has closed the distance and engaged Paulsen in a clinch.
Paulsen tries to land a knee to the head but Stackhouse blocks with his arms.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Stackhouse dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Paulsen switches off momentarily and Stackhouse cracks him with a monster right hand! Paulsen topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Stackhouse dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Stackhouse!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jason Stackhouse!
Jason Stackhouse bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
