Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eagle Spurghoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toji Kawasaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eagle Spurghoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toji Kawasaka!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spurghoff lands with a nice combination. Kawasaka backs away looking to recover.
Spurghoff misses with a takedown attempt - Kawasaka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kawasaka drops down looking for an ankle pick but Spurghoff pulls his leg out and moves away.

Spurghoff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Spurghoff fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kawasaka to the ground. Spurghoff is now in Kawasaka's guard.

Spurghoff comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Spurghoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kawasaka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kawasaka slaps away a takedown attempt from Spurghoff, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kawasaka wants to take a breather but Spurghoff is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spurghoff misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Spurghoff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kawasaka tries to avoid it but Spurghoff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kawasaka to the ground. Kawasaka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kawasaka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kawasaka is stalling here. Spurghoff is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kawasaka seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Spurghoff has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Kawasaka is wriggling around trying to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spurghoff cracks Kawasaka with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Spurghoff shoots in for a takedown but Kawasaka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kawasaka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spurghoff's waist but Spurghoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kawasaka off to one side.
Kawasaka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spurghoff as he avoids it easily.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kawasaka.
Eagle Spurghoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toji Kawasaka.
Kawasaka leaves Spurghoff with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Spurghoff is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Kawasaka is forced to tap! Great finish!

A less than humble Eagle Spurghoff misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
