The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liverpool wants to clinch.
Liverpool dips to his left and cracks Claudio with an uppercut!
Claudio takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Paulo Claudio has been cut.
Claudio buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Claudio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liverpool as he jumps to the side.
Liverpool wants to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Michael Liverpool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liverpool fails with an attempt to clinch.
Liverpool tries to clinch up but Claudio circles away and keeps his distance.

Liverpool tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Liverpool tries to close the distance and clinch up but Claudio swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Claudio shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Claudio looks gassed!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Liverpool pushes Claudio off but Claudio dives into side control.

Claudio is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Liverpool has escaped the position, nice work there.
Liverpool is pushing Claudio's head away, looking to escape. Claudio manages to hold on to the position though.

Claudio is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Liverpool looks calm but he's in trouble here. Claudio gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Liverpool is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Claudio lets go of the hold and Liverpool can pop his arm back in it's socket.
