The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pessanha clinches up against the cage.
Pessanha wants a takedown.
Junez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pessanha to keep the fight standing.
Junez scores with a knee to the head.

Pessanha ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pessanha no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Junez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pessanha's guard.

Junez is working for a submission of some sort.
Junez prevents Pessanha from improving his position.

Pessanha kicks Junez off and gets back to his feet.
Junez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Junez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pessanha swivels and escapes.
Pessanha misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Junez.
Junez stuffs the takedown attempt from Pessanha. Pessanha gets slowly back to his feet.

Pessanha scores a takedown into full mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Junez wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Junez tries to roll but Pessanha sticks to his back.
Pessanha looking to hold on to the position here but Junez rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Anderson Pessanha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pessanha is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Junez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Pessanha is looking to defend but Junez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Pessanha! Junez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Pessanha taps out and this one is all over!
